Following the recent restrictions of COVID-19 Middle Earth Tavern will be re-opening Saturday 4th July 10am. We have been working hard putting safety measures in place, to keep our customers and staff safe. 

Middle Earth Tavern has been offering a warm Whitby welcome to visitors and local alike for many years.
Our stunning harbour side location is mesmerising in Summer and its roaring log fires in Winter offer respite on the coldest of days.
After tidal surges devastated the downstairs bar we renovated and haven’t looked back since.
Through excellent customer service, a superb drink selection and welcoming atmosphere our popularity soared and in 2017 we started serving food with the opening of Cirdan’s Harbourside Grill. Restaurant temporarily  closed!
In addition we offer clean, comfortable accommodation in our newly refurbished en suite rooms at an attractive price.
